4 month until 50y and retirement visa

Featured Replies

hi all! my curent visa NonO multi entry will finish in 2 weeks. based on marriage. in march 2015 I am 50 years old and I will apply for 1 year retirement visa.

how to stay the next 4 month. 1. tourist visa double entry. But I am not sure they ask for financial proof on the re entry. 2. single entry NonO for 3 months. after I dont know I can get 30 days extension anywhere in thailand at the immigration what to do now??

thanks for help

You can get a new (multiple) non-O visa in Laos, Savankhet based upon your marriage and once you turn 50 can apply for an extension based upon retirement at immigration.

You could also get a 60 day extension to your current permission to stay to visit your wife and at the end apply for a single non-O visa based upon marriage and extend that one based upon retirement.

Is it your visa that is expiring or your permit to stay from your the last entry before it expired? If it is your visa you can get a new entirety on or before the date the visa expires.

You can get a 60 day extension of your current entry to visit your wife.

my visa is expiring. I had my last entry already.

yes I can make new multiple non-O visa in Savankhet. but I dont know I can switch to new retirement visa after just 1 re entry (6month).

can I cancel the non-O visa when I am 50 years?

The visa does not have to expired to do an extension because your are extending your permit to stay not your visa. You can do an extension during the last 30 days of any 90 day entry from the visa.

If it is your visa that is expiring (enter before date on visa) you can still do one more entry.

A single entry non-o based upon marriage at the end of a 60 day extension would get you enough time if your visa has already expired.

what is the expiry date of the actual visa, not the permission to stay stamp, when was your last entry made.

why are you waiting to do a 'retirement' yearly extension do a 'married ' yearly extension now. less money in the bank required, a few more hoops to jump through

Since you must qualify financially for a retirement extension you must qualify for a marriage extension. Why not get a one year extension for marriage and at the end of it switch to retirement. It costs less but is more paperwork and would require two visits to immigration and a possible "house visit" by immigration. But everything can be done at immigration without getting a new visa.

BY "costs less" I mean the financial requirement for the extension. Marriage either 400k in the bank or 40k/month income, retirement 800k and 65k or a combination of both. The cost of the extension is the same, 1900 baht.

there is no such thing as a retirement VISA it is an extension based on either marriage or retirement.

dont mix them up as you might get an imm.officer who has got out of the wrong side of the bed who will send you away.
