Yes, the usual breakfast items plus a strong Danish/Scandinavian feel (cold meats, meatballs, pickles, blue cheese, crispbread) and a few good Thai dishes. The coffee is OK too. Near the Royal Varuna, on the same street, just below the Cozy Hotel is Twins Cafe/Bakery. They serve LaVazza Coffee. I think it's the best cappuccino in Pattaya. The cakes and cookies are good but unfortunately, the food is just so so. The great coffee, superb view and fresh breeze make it one of my favorite stops. What's the latest on it? :-) Yorkies (S of Chaiyapruk) is no more as of 2 years ago. Kaput, gone, out of business. Yorkies moved from the Beach to Soi Chayrupruk, then sometime after, the owner passed away. The restaurant closed but the meats operation is still going I believe. Correct The restaurant formerly known as Yorkies is under new management (gone through several I think since the original Yorky passed on, and is called CoCo's) and still serves a great English breakfast along the same style as the former Yorkies, and still use Yorkies products from their shop up the road. They have all the usual, plus black pudding and fried bread. You can "build" your breakfast from the options menu. I used to really enjoy eating there until the bimbo waitress managed to tip orange juice and coffee all over me, so now I dine at Punch and Judy on Thepprasit Soi 8 - still technically Jomtien. The breakfast at Punch and Judy's is in my humble opinion one of the best around - as is there Sunday Roast. Edit: On a side note, CoCo's (formerly Yorkies) is one of the few places around that can actually fry an egg properly. Honey's coffee shop in S2 of Jomtien Beach Condo does good take on brekkie. Actual fried potato wedge (I hate when they call serving "American breakfast" but no taters to be seen). Sausage actual sausage, not hot dog, good bacon, real coffee, etc. Eggs cooked by someone who knows how. Just solid, simple no overstuffed couch feeling when exiting. Yes it is a private club - no walk ins ...... but I recommend Coco's (ex Yorkies) near Sukhumvit end of Chaiyphruek for good quality meats. One that hasn't been mentioned is Voodoo, on Chayaphruek about 200m before the beach. Great Eggs Benedict, and other options. Doesn't open before 10 though. Yes the Irish Wolfhound is one of the best at 100 baht anywhere in town. Consistent quality with their Brit brekkies. Today I had croissant filled with scrambled egg and crispy bacon, which together with orange juice and coffee or tea costs 109 baht. A full English was 189 baht, but there are numerous smaller brekies. Place is normally fairly busy with maybe 20 customers turning over all the time. Awesome Place I looked at this today. The price is 250B net and the hours are a rather restrictive 8am-10am. The place was heaving with Russian-looking guests who, I suspect, got their breakfast for free and were making the most of it. Signs were in evidence saying "dont take food away with you" in several languages. The ingredients looked very similar to the sort of things you get at Lek or Apex for 100B less (hot dog sausages, processed ham, factory white/brown bread etc). All in all it was not up to Hotel Denmark or Casa Pascal standards (both cheaper), though the setting was nice enough being directly opposite the sea. Bacon and eggs cooked to order. I ate at the Hotel Danmark this morning and it was really good. IMHO, the food is better during high than low season. They change some of the dishes each day. The breads are very good. I like the Thai dishes (three main dishes and one soup.......also one farang soup). There is a salad bar and some fruit. Several "whipped" salads (not being from Denmark, I have no idea what they are, but they are all good). Cold meats (not sure what they all are....like salami or something) and hot meats (e.g., some type of sausage and a meatball dish).....various types of cheese (usually some type of white cheese and more expensive blue cheese or something very similar to blue cheese). They always have a Danish-style crepe and there are several really tasty jams to put on top of it (even blackberry). Various juices, tea, coffee and they make eggs to order. They also have excellent bacon. I even like the waittresses. There is not much to dislike. The place was totally packed this morning with Europeans, which should tell you something. Go to Soi 7 and then walk to the next Soi (technically Soi 8, which I think is not marked at all).........Soi 8 is what people call "Soi Whitehouse." I was there this morning, having not been for a couple of weeks. Please give me any recommendations you have for Best Breakfasts in Jomtien. I found it tasteless really. In Jomtiem, my out and out favourite place for breakfast is the Sketchbook Cafe. For more farang food, Linda's is good, the new German bakery near to Winchesters is good as well. It's the right size to be satisfying without leaving you feeling stuffed. They also do a bigger version for 100B.
