Hi all.I entered on a visa exempt.I would like to change to non o based on tambien baan and my sons birth cert.is it that eady.or am I missing something here.

You would probably only get a 60 day extension without being the legal Father of the child.

If you were to legitimise your relationship you could get 12 months with 400,000 baht in a Thai bank.
Or 40,000 Monthly income.

Unless you are the legal father of your child by marriage or legitimization you will not be able to to a conversion to a non immigrant visa or a one year extension of stay at immigration.

You can get a 60 day extension of stay at immigration to visit your child. You can also get a single entry non-o at a nearby embassy or consulate.

Sorry..one last question.do both my girlfriend and son have to be with me when applying?

Your child will need to be with you and their mother would also be helpful when you apply for the 60 day extension.
