Apologies if this has been posted before, but I went to the Penang Consulate today to apply for my Non-O.

Sign above the counters there saying that effective from 1 November this year the same day service for collection of the above visas will cease. Along with other visa types, now need to apply before 12 on one day and collect after 2pm the next. So for some it will mean an extra night in Penang. And Friday definitely not a day to apply unless you're planning for the whole weekend in Penang.
