Nicorette Chewing Gum

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to get hold of proper nicorette chewing gum (the classic style not the revolting goo sprayed with a disgusting chemical and marketed as mint etc)? The only kind now available is a semi-revolting goo made in Thailand. R there any international pharmaceutical web-sites that despatch to Thailand?

Kop koon khrap.

I have always managed to get it from the larger Boots the chemist in Thailand. If you have a contact in the UK it is worth getting them to post it to you as it is about half the price of the Nicorette sold here.

I too have been trying to source an outlet for Nicorette gum for several months,Boots pharmacy used to stock both the 2mg & 4mg types but now have substituted this with a brand called "Nicotinell" 2mg,manufactured in Denmark and is far better than the Thai made "Nicomild-2" but is not cheap, one box of 96 pieces cost me THB 950 per box whereas previous "Nicorette" gum cost me THB 770 per box, which is still cheaper than buying in Australia at approx THB 1,300 per box. Also just for your info, a packet of Winfield Red 25,s now cost $28 a packet in Oz as per September whilst there !!!!!

Maybe try the patches. I found them better than the gum when I got off the cigs 15 years ago or so.

I tried the gum but problem was I got more addicted to the gum than I was to cigs and that is not a fun habit to have.

Saw the patches in Pattaya walking street pharmacy the other day. Used them many years ago successfully back in Germany.

The patches are available in all Boots Pharmacy in BKK area plus some other pharmacies,I had also tried these but if you have sensitive skin they can get very itchy and sometimes cause a small rash like they did with me.

Patches aren't a solution for me, no nicotine rush and nothing to chew on, but thanks for the thought.

First thanks everyone for your advice.

The only Nicotinell I've come across was absolutely revolting, not proper chewing gum and sprayed with a vile chemical to give it 'flavour', even worse than the Thai stuff. I have a friend coming over soon bringing me several boxes of 105 pieces of 4mg Nicorette. One box retails at 520 baht (10 quid) in the UK as opposed to the 1400 baht or (with discount) 1200 baht paid in Thailand when it was available. However does anyone know of a pharmaceutical or other suitable website that will send stuff to Thailand?

Ta and have a nice day.
