Hi all, we will be applying for a partner visa in the coming weeks.

Regarding the house book, I have a copy of it and the certified translation, however I am wondering if VFS will want to sight the original when we submit the application?

The house book is currently back at home and if required I will have to get it posted to me, but if someone can tell me that they do not need to sight the original during the application I will save the postage fee :)

Cheers.

and ... maybe make a copy of that certified copy and they may just accept the copy of the certification, if you can show them the original certification.

We used the original, but that was nearly 10 years ago.

The Department are VERY helpful over the phone, believe it or not. Don't be too worried about calling them. They will give you a straight answer.

Thanks to you all for your replies. The copy I have is not certified, just a photocopy, along with the certified translation, so I think it might be best to take the original along.

Thanks again.
