Trueonline or my pc?

Featured Replies

I have a true cable connection at my shop and seem to get lots of timeouts with my pc lately. Everything is at default settings to the best of my knowledge. Sometimes i can load yahoo but not Google search results. The odd thing is my phone will load when the pc wont load the same sites.

Try changing your DNS and see if that improves things.

A good program for this is dnsjumper. Link: http://www.sordum.org/7952/dns-jumper-v1-0-6/

I've actually tried google DNS 8888 with little change. Dnsjumper seems like a bandaid not the answer. Wouldn't my smart phone be using trues DNS?

If you not try you will not know ;)

But check your proxy settings in your pc for example and maybe do a virus scan with the usual suspects like HitmanPro, Malware Bytes, Super antispyware just in case

You could try the proxy from TRUE.

proxy.trueinternet.co.th port: 8080

or when you have this already get rid of it. Sometimes it's slows down the internet.

If your phone is faster/more relaible on the same connection, it's either going to be something on the PC using lots of bandwidth, or it could be bad MTU settings (too high).
