SEE TEFL Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Probably next April I'm going to have this TEFL course in CM, does anyone have any experience with this school?

Just found them through the internet, they also have a facebook page with pics of graduates and all.

It seems a good choice to me. I've never been to Thailand and looking for advice.

Many thanks in advance.

I don't know much about the school, but I have hired a couple of teachers who took the course and they were both very good teachers. They spoke highly of the program.

Hello mate.

SEE TEFL is where i did my TEFL in August 2011. Fantasic course provider! The course is run very professionally but it's also great fun aswell. I met some great people doing that course and it was a brilliant experience. I definitely recommened it :)

The job market is so poor in CNX that I would advise taking a course, where you can make meaningful employment connections.

I'd definitely look for an institution, where you'll also have " a sort of" real teaching experience with ordinary students.

Not just some outstanding kids they put in a classroom, who'd even understand a Neanderthal man speaking.

But you can easily offer your service at a small government school to see how teaching there really is.

Once you're standing in front of 55 kids, no curriculum, no functioning PC, printer/ Internet, etc...and no Thai speaking skills, you'll very fast find out what I'm on about.

Leaning by doing is the only successful way. And that's not in a coursebook. Wish you good luck finding the right place.

Sometimes certain companies only have a good reputation.

The " World Class Standard Schools" I've seen and worked at in the last 10 years live of a reputation they don't even deserve. Good luck.--wai2.gif

P.S. And the too often mentioned "job guarantee" is just a part of the package. But you can never rely on it.
