Recommendations for Khanom beach and/or Chumphon beach area acommodations?

Featured Replies

I want to visit the Khanom and next the Chumphon coast area next month. As i haven't stayed in these areas before (only passing through before) i would like to ask you guys if you know any resorts/places you would recommend from own experience?

Budget around THB 800 to 1,000 for a room per night, looking for a quiet beachfront area but not too far from a town or shops though..

Thanks for your help!

Well not much town or shops there + it is far from the beach.

I would recommend to rent a motorbike...

Yes, the town of Khanom is a few kilometers, from the hotel / bungalow area... but there are several places to stay within not much distance from each other...

I don't think it ever gets that busy there, so it should be quiet! Very pleasant though! thumbsup.gif

Just 15 kilometers out of Chumphon is the beach resort Thung Wua Laen. It sounds like just what you are looking for.

Quiet beautiful beach with a few bars and restaurants .

The accommodation ranges from about 500 to 2000.

P.M me if you want anymore info.

Lots of accommodation along Nadan beach in Khanom. Quiet so should have no problem just looking around and picking a place. You'll need a bike to get between the beach and the town/shops though.

Last year I was at Baancivilize Resort, beautiful.

But I think (cant' remember) the price is higher.

Not much on the beach in Khanom for 1000 baht, more like 1500 +/- unless you get a small older bungalow. It's never full apart from maybe New Year etc so just rock up and drive around checking them out. You have about 8km of beautiful beach nearly to yourself.

CC Bar has a bit of atmosphere and good food on the beach. Dusty Gecko in town has great pizza.
