tourist visa info please

Featured Replies

Hi,my tourist visa expires on the 12th of January, (Ive just extended my 60 day from the UK ) 2 questions...

1, Can I fly to KL and fly back in on a 30 day stamp and then extend for a further 30 day in Thailand?

2. Or do I need to get a 60 day visa from the Thai embassy?

Thanks in advance

You could fly out and back to get a visa exempt entry.

Some of the airlines have been reported as enforcing the rule that you need ticket out within 30 days could be the only problem.

Personally I would just go for the tourist visa. A bit more work and time, but safer.

You will be OK in returning with a visa exempt, but will also depend on which airport you return to. Phuket can be pickier than BKK.

I"ll be flying from and returning too Surat Thani Airport with Airasia as they are the only ones from here

I have seen no reports of Surat Thani being a problem on entry.

I don't think Air Asia will be a problem either.
