Sun just coming up over Silverlake area.I wanted it to make me feel warm on a cool misty morning.

Very good.

Sometime...nice shot! Only one minor distraction...bit of a halo

around the blades of grass in the foreground....no big thing...but

if you eliminate or reduce that....spot on job! It can be done via

layers...hint!

I see what you mean, never noticed that, thanks.

Not into layers, seems too complicated for me, I just take the photo, and perhaps do a quick tweaking.thumbsup.gif

That's pretty much what I thought 2 years ago when I posted my first photo to the evaluation forum. Our professional photographers have a tendency to alter our minds. :)

I hope we all can see more of your photos in the future.

I don't pretend to be very technical, I tend to just like a photo for how it comes across....... This is nice, as for how it makes me feel, well not warm, but a little chilly but filled with anticipation...... That sun is about to burst over the crest and I'll feel the warmth on my face.... er....thats just how it comes across too me.....

Hi sometime,

For me it is slightly an over cooked HDR.

Would like to see the original photo to compare with the one that you posted.

And Welcome to the Forum thumbsup.gif since no one has mentioned it. clap2.gif

Sometime,

Looking at the original, Kan Win is right.

Have another go and be a bit delicate with it. I'm a horror for over processing images and I've yet to learn the true art of the subtle.

It's a lovely picture actually. thumbsup.gif

Nice photo Sometime! Really like the 'sun just coming up' vibe and the huge depth of field.

But as this is an 'evaluate' thread I have to say something .....

I agree that it may be very slightly overdone as the green of the grass is just starting to look a bit artificial.

Also feel that the grass in the foreground is a little dark - I wonder if you'd taken another shot 5 minutes later would the sun have lit the grass with a nice backlight effect?

But this is a just some random thoughts - overall a very nice shot.

(I guess I should be brave enough to post a shot in the evaluate forum one day - but it's more fun dishing out the comments!) biggrin.png

Thanks for the comment.

The sun coming up over that hill moves so fast even two minutes and all gets lost in the glare, the only way is to paddle out to the left, locals go into the water but you never know whats in there.

tried a few mornings but no cloud to help the feel, and you tend to get a lot of like a glare.

Very good.

At the first comment you said very good. but on Kan Wins comment you agreed with his comment.

Both comments are taken in, but it takes another comment to sway you.

I have also noticed on different monitors a vast difference in colour.

Enjoy what you capture.

a very important, and often neglected, aspect of digital togging is getting your monitor calibrated for colour correctly. thumbsup.gif

Sorry I should not post anything after a night out.

just like buying off Ebay after a few drinks

Sometime,

Buying cack off ebay when drunk is the most satisfying thing a person can do. But it's like the ugly bird in the morning syndrome. You wake up and she's not wearing any make up.

Rabbit here keeps waking up next to old Russian women and sometimes a battered old German.
