Some products were sent out to the US to be fixed that I had in Thailand. Now I am having a friend bring them back in to avoid expensive shipping costs. Do they need to be claimed in customs? Is there special paperwork that will avoid paying customs or duty again?

Thanks

They would probably walk straight through without any hassle, but I was in a similar situation a few years back where I was carrying close to $200K of specialist equipment, but they were only interested in how many cigarettes I was carrying.

It may be a good idea to make sure they are carrying some sort of documentation regarding the product, ie: commercial invoice etc..
