I want to buy a Moto G3 (G4) mobile (old version June 2014, 4.5 screen) but I can't find any motorola mobiles in Korat where I ive.

Anybody know:

1. Do motorola have a presence in Thailand?

2. If so where can I get the above model from?

Thanks

Currently Motorola are not here in Thailand BUT they are in Malaysia. Hatyai4g have them on their website and I think you would find in MBK. I have one it's a great phone especially as I got it in the UK for £89 from Tesco. Hopefully in March I will upgrade to the new Zenfone 2!

Some 2nd hand ones here.. bit expensive though!

Just checked hatyai website, nothing showing at moment ..

This might be an option :

Similar specs, plus LTE!

Thanks everybody for the advice (espescially about no sd card slot on some models) and links.

Sadly, I think the prices quoted make the phone too expensive.

Also the lazada site spec section is very limited with no mention of many of the capabilities of the mdel chosen (4G? sd card? etc etc.).

I see one price of 12,000 Baht (and who knows if I'll get with import duty as well) and for that I can buy an OPPO or an huwai high spec phone which get reasonable reviews.

One phone I won't be buying is an HTC - my current phone's touch screen has stopped working after 2 years making it virtually unusable.1zgarz5.gif.pagespeed.ce.GJfs_tQOQ-LbP_e

Once again thanks for your help.

If you buy from Lazada, there will be no import duty as they are Thailand based.

No brand of phone, no matter if expensive or cheap will be 100% free of defective units. The long queues at Samsung service and tales of woe on Apple forums are testament to that. HTC makes some great phones though their mid-range phones receive so-so reviews.

The B12,000 price must have been for a new, 2nd gen. Moto G or maybe even a Moto X. XT 1033's seem to be in the B6000 range.

I always make it a practice to cross check any specs listed for a device I am interested in. Just GOOGLING the model no. and brand of a phone will get a lot of results.

Lazada itself usually gives accurate though sometimes incomplete specs but some of their 3rd party sellers do post inaccurate information.

One "Imported" phone I bought through Lazada from a 3rd party seller was advertised as being quad-core w/ 1gb ram.....turned out to be dual-core w/512K. Lazada took it back with a full refund, no problem.

If you want a low cost but decent phone, check out the DOOGEE DG310 Voyager 2 on sale on Lazada for less than B3000. 5", quad core, 1GB ram, 8 gb rom. I purchased one of these as a gift for my GF's niece. I used it for several days and was really impressed. Very solidly constructed and operated very nicely. Lots of videos and reviews on YouTube.

Make sure you check the spec, Lot of Motorolas come with fixed batteries. You can;t remove them. I find that inconvenient.

Anyone considering buying the older model Moto G should note the XT 1032 is 8GB internal memory, the XT 1033 is 16GB. Important because the Moto G does not accept an external memory card...what the phone has onboard is all you get. I'd recommend 16GB.

That is true. BUT you can use an external micro USB thumb drive like the one in the picture. Very small, full size USB one side and micro USB the other. Works great.
