It depends.

Usually middle to upper class Thai women prefer Thai guys, preferably of the same or of a higher status than themselves. They will consider farangs, Koreans, Japanese and Singaporean guys if the guys are of a high status, successful businessmen or people of prominence.

Thai women of the lower classes are more desperate, and although still prefer Thai guys will form relationships with white guys, average working class Japanese and Koreans if they think it will give them financial security and being of an asset to their families and as a means of taking them out of poverty.

In all classes of Thai women forming relationships with black, Indian and Middle Eastern guys is not so common.. Not so much because of race, but rather because no matter where a black guy, South Asian or middle eastern guy is born, the Thais still perceive them as Africans, Indians and middle eastern pertaining to extreme different cultures and of the poor nations, therefore consider forming relationships with them as stepping down the social ladder. Probably they have the same attitudes towards guys from Thailand’s neighboring countries. I am not by any means being racialist and don`t want to be misunderstood, but only stating some facts from my experiences of having spent most of my adult life around Thai people and how they think.

In answer to the OP`s questions I would say as a whole, Thai women find Thai men the most desirable and attractive, farangs, Japanese, Koreans and Singaporean guys as second and the rest less desirable for cultural and status reasons mostly brought on by unfounded reputations and prejudice.

There's no doubt, whatsoever, that all Thai women are attracted to Greeks............especially me.

I think most Thai women, especially in the countryside, don't know one farang country from another.. the country they might likely prefer is the one their neighbor a "fairn" from, if he is a good guy and good provider, but I doubt they differentiate too much… I think smile and disposition matter a lot more than nationality as far as preference - and of course, access to the provincial neighborhood of 'Wall Street' is always nice.

As others have said, darker complexioned nationalities also tend to be near the bottom of the list for them: Indians, Africans, Arabs, etc. Japanese guys are said to be generous but emotionally distant. I've never heard anyone mention Koreans--for good or bad--perhaps because they don't have much exposure to them (beyond what they see on TV). For some reason, a lot of the Thai women I've talked to like Germans ... see them as a good mix of caring, being culturally open, and not prone to violence or drunkenness (maybe they've not been to an Oktoberfest); I suspect they wouldn't distinguish them from Scandinavians.

Makes sense in a way. Germans are exposed to more different cultures than Brits and Americans and tend to be more widely travelled (I think).
