I'm not a great fan of frozen pizzas but sometimes it's nice to just stay at home and enjoy one while watching a movie. I tried their pepperoni offering which I'd seen in Friendship and I was surprised to find it very good. A nice base, tasty tomato sauce and plenty of cheese. The sausage wasn't pepperoni but it worked just fine all the same. One of the best frozen pizzas I've tried.

Friendship has a small stock of these pizzas but they are mostly toppings that don't interest me. I like either the pepperoni or else a Margaritha that I can add my own toppings to. Friendship is out of those. Has anybody seen these pizzas anywhere else in town, or do you know where the people who make them are located? As you can see the box gives no indication at all of where they are made or any contact details. Google didn't give me any insights either.

Grateful for any help. :)

I wish i would have a oven. In Europe i did bake my own Pizza. The most delicious. Ok, it's some work to do, but actually it's quite easy.

I have a combo microwave/convection oven that cooks home-made pizza perfectly. I also use it for baked potatoes and home-made bread etc.

I agree that take-away or delivered pizza always arrives too cold and that a regular microwave used to heat it up just makes it soggy.

The imported frozen Casino brand pizzas from BigC are nice at about 135B, but I only get the 3-cheese sort.

I've tried several delivery services but they're never quite hot enough for my taste when they arrive, and I find that microwaving them to heat them back up spoils the texture.

I understand, but my New York Pizza arrives to my Jomtien condo in 35 minutes from the time I call and they use the insulated pizza carriers so it is plenty hot for my finicky tastes.

Having had both, I can attest that these Pizza Factory pies are much better than the Casino pies. Probably because they are locally made so I. A sense "fresher" than the Casinos, which are shipped in from Europe. In particular, The dough is much better on the Pizza Factory pies.

Just a note to order directly from the restaurant and not use these 3rd party delivery services as you are unnecessarily introducing a more costly obstruction in the ordering process.

Best Market on Nua, at the roundabout, has them. I agree, they are a pretty good frozen pizza and good value for money. Very handy to keep a few in the freezer for when the urge strikes. I boost my up with some extra cheese, whatever vegs I have on hand, and some oregano.

Thanks, that's the only post so far with a location other than Friendship to buy them.

I've never seen them in the big supermarkets like Tesco and Big C. Anybody know if Foodland or Villa stocks them?

I agree that the Casino pizzas are the best alternative, especially from the value-for-money viewpoint. My favourite was the Margaritha as I could then add my own toppings but they don;t seem to stock that any more. They're bigger than the Gourmet Pizza Factory offerings but not as tasty IMHO.

I've tried ordering them both ways, direct and via one of the delivery services, but they never arrive hot enough for my taste. I really like fresh pizza straight out of the oven, not something that's been standing in a box or bag on the back of a motorbike for 20 or 30 minutes.

The best of the delivery pizzas in my experience was from a small shop doing Italian pizzas at the top of the Soi Rompho bar beer complex in Jomtien, Pizza Aroi on Thepprasit Soi 17. Typically for Thailand they got so busy that in the end they refused to deliver to my shack located about 1500 m away. I used to sit in a bar beer watching their delivery bike whiz past every 10 or 15 minutes, doing great trade. Then they closed down and have never been seen or heard from again. Why??? :(

Did you mean Margarita or are you one of the farangs who put a 'th' to everything like 'bath' instead of baht? thumbsup.gif

If it was Margarita, I don't understand how it applies to Pizza.

Why don't you just check out the spelling on the Gourmet Pizza Factory box in the OP? whistling.gif.pagespeed.ce.FVjgnKnWS1SW1

Okay... I just did. I think the picture in the OP may be the wrong spelling too. I thought you were talking about a Casino Pizza, so I didn't pay attention to the picture in the OP.

I'm really not sure what a Margaritha pizza is, but I do know what a Margherita Pizza is. It's a pizza resembling the colors of the Italian flag, red (tomato), white (mozzarella) and green (basil). According to popular tradition, in 1889, Raffaele Esposito named it after the Queen Margherita of Savoy - Pizza Margherita. thumbsup.gif

Now that you mention it, I believe Foodland has them as well...but not 100% sure.

No basil on this one, so maybe they modified the spelling fearing the wrath of the EU regional food protection agency... :)

Here's a solution to soggy crust pizza new or left over for those of us without an oven.

http://foodwishes.blogspot.com/2011/10/how-to-reheat-soggy-leftover-pizza.html

The pics don't do it justice, but definitely the best way to quickly reheat a slice or 2 of pizza is to "dry fry" it like this. Do it on a low heat in a non-stick frying pan and put a lid on the frying pan to get the topping heated through. Once the topping's good & hot take off the lid and once the base is as crunchy as you like it away you go. Not more than 5 mins from start to finish. If you can't even wait 5 mins try this: Put your frying pan on a medium heat and put your leftover pizza slices in the microwave for 45 seconds or until the topping is hot, then take out and place the slices base side down into the already hot frying pan. Maybe 2.5 mins from start to finish. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it...
