Yes - you are missing something.

The questions posed are in response to Yingluck's statement, which she and her main lawyer, believes answered all the likely questions that might arise. Clearly it didn't and prompted further very explicit questions.

There is no limit to the amount of questions allowed.

Yingluck will of course try anything and everything to avoid being actually questioned and having to provide real answers.

Actually Thailand's electoral system DID NOT elect Yingluck it elected the PHUA THAI political party of which Yingluck was a member. The elected Parliament then elected the PM (in exactly the same way as EVERY Thai Pm since 1997, including Abhisit)

Oh goody! Kittirat will testify for Yingluck. I can hardly wait for him to explain why he said the payments to the farmers would have to drop to 12,000 baht, then reversed himself, and kept on paying 15,000 baht. Maybe the chairman of the rice board convinced him. what kind of person would ignore their finance minister and encourage the continuation of a policy that was driving the country in to massive debt......oh never mind.

She does seem to constantly avoid actually being where she's needed or asked to be, always sending lawyers on her behalf etc to speak for her. One might suspect she's unable to actually answer direct questions without the puppet master putting the words in her mouth.

Reminds of many of her televised faux pas (where she's actually required to think, speak and answer questions, not from a script), such as:

The general wants to sell the rice internationals which includes following the international laws to not only trading but way of leadership freedom of speech and many other things too

I can only assume that English is not your first language.

The current "Government", you know, the one the Monarchy signed off on and approved, will follow the same strict standards of honesty and transparency as the previous Government, and the international community will continue to do business with Thailand no matter what.

The problem is everyone ran the scheme on behalf of yingluck and now the scheme is in the poop because she showed no leadership (yes, yes, she was elected) and so now they are testifying on behalf of her as well.

So this shows they have learnt absolutely nothing and are still shielding and protecting thaksins sister right up to the very end. Not because it is democratically sound, not because they are putting the people, the voters first, but simply because they do not want to be shunned by the shinawatra's. That is as democratic as an elected government that does not practice democracy!

I wonder if someone will serve jail time on behalf of yingluck if it came to it.

But why would the NACC investigate the 2010 riots and deaths, what did those have to do with corruption, surely it was the DSI under Khun Tarit, who brought charges against the then-PM/DPM ?

It might indeed be interesting, to find out who absolved the RTA of any wrong-doing, at that time. But that is another topic, and belongs in another thread. This one is about Yingluck's apparent inability, to show-up in-person and answer questions, about things she was directly in-charge-of and responsible for.

From wiki : The Prime Minister is appointed by a vote in the Thai House of Representatives by a simple majority, and is then sworn-in by theKing of Thailand. The House's selection is usually based on the fact that either the prime minister is the leader of the largest political party in the lower house or the leader of the largest coalition of parties.

Also note Yingluck was NOT the leader of Phua Thai at any time during or after the election. She was the number 1 on the party list vote. But as you can see anybody who is an elected MP can be voted as PM.

Think you have very shallow understanding of the cases under NACC purview. Try checking malfeasance charge brought against CRES in the 2010 killings. By the way, the killings have nothing todo with the RTA.

So, apparently, she won't be there to answer questions by herself, would she have had the ability to I seriously doubt anyway, but this is really, again, and one more time, spitting in the face of the Thai State's authorities!

Hope it has at least been made sure she will not go out of Thailand before the decision falls about her impeachment, ...although it's still the sales period in Paris and London! And till the NACC charges against her have come in front of a Court as a matter of fact.
