To think that thing was a country's Prime Minister!!facepalm.gif

Dear God!!

Think not. She indeed was the elected Prime Minister compare to current unelected thing.
Who was she elected by?

Less you forget, Thailand was a democratic country and leaders are elected by the electoral system not that long ago. You still remember that period where freedom of expression was tolerated and the 3 fingers salute was allowed?

Yes sure, if you say so Eric. A democracy in which a crook can own and run a government whilst a fugitive, facing even more charges. A democracy where the puppet PM and her ministers can openly lie and state they will defy the rule of law when they don't like it. A democracy where the incumbent government can refuse parliamentary debate and refuse to divulge information.

Had the previous regime manipulated the amnesty their owner desired, and changed things to suit themselves, do you really think they would be interested in democracy?

JOC, just one more and I will leave this people to have their hard drink.

BB, key words were puppet, lies, rule of law, Parlimentary debate and amnesty. Are you talking about the current junta?

Actually Thailand's electoral system DID NOT elect Yingluck it elected the PHUA THAI political party of which Yingluck was a member. The elected Parliament then elected the PM (in exactly the same way as EVERY Thai Pm since 1997, including Abhisit)

Kittirat Na Ranong, who headed the Ministry of Finance from January 2012 to May 2014, is set to testify on behalf of Yingluck during her impeachment hearing before the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), a lawmaking body appointed by the junta after the 22 May 2014 coup.

Oh goody! Kittirat will testify for Yingluck. I can hardly wait for him to explain why he said the payments to the farmers would have to drop to 12,000 baht, then reversed himself, and kept on paying 15,000 baht. Maybe the chairman of the rice board convinced him. what kind of person would ignore their finance minister and encourage the continuation of a policy that was driving the country in to massive debt......oh never mind.

Well, he's not wrong.

When they've asked for Yingluck herself to appear (in person) and answer their questions, her sending yet another "representative" to defend her just doesn't cut it.

She does seem to constantly avoid actually being where she's needed or asked to be, always sending lawyers on her behalf etc to speak for her. One might suspect she's unable to actually answer direct questions without the puppet master putting the words in her mouth.

Reminds of many of her televised faux pas (where she's actually required to think, speak and answer questions, not from a script), such as:

It seams like you write more than you think all the generals friends are not in title to any answers

The general wants to sell the rice internationals which includes following the international laws to not only trading but way of leadership freedom of speech and many other things too

That's why nobody sent her brother to Thailand it's not the international community there don't understand thailand its thailand there don't understand but why you care anyway you not thai are you

All this uproar about a few bags of rice and none at all about gunning down innocent civilians and press corps in live fire zones on Bangkok streets...a telling set of priorities indeed.

Lets not argue about a few bags of rice and who killed who, just sweep it under the carpet Thai style and bring out the Som tum and a couple of cold Chang Beer.

Democracy is a joke to you. I see you compromised your own moral standard. Live with that for your rest of your life.

Why cant they ask her questions and ask him questions.

At the end of the day, he was finance minister, so should be able to give a bit more specific detail beyind what she knows.

so should be able to give a bit more specific detail beyond what she knows.

"beyond what she knows."

My dog would be more knowledgeable!!

Thailand hasn't been a true democracy, ever!

Here's a good question .. what is democracy? It's slightly different in every country! Is Singapore Democratic? Is Cambodia Democratic?

In a way I can see his point, but what does that make the NLA? Full of military officers who really are Hired guns, if the cap fits I guess?

So a guy who freely admits to lying when he thinks its convenient wants to answer questions for another proven liar. and then gets upset when someone uses an appropriate metaphor in a descriptive way.

Aw diddums, is he all upset then, poor sensitive soul.

Or put it another, he shat in his own nest, now he has to sleep in it. Som num nar.

Shameful isn't. Bags of rice are valued more than lives according to the NACC priorities. The 2010 killings will probably not see the light of day with the current NACC commitee.

But why would the NACC investigate the 2010 riots and deaths, what did those have to do with corruption, surely it was the DSI under Khun Tarit, who brought charges against the then-PM/DPM ? blink.png

It might indeed be interesting, to find out who absolved the RTA of any wrong-doing, at that time. But that is another topic, and belongs in another thread. This one is about Yingluck's apparent inability, to show-up in-person and answer questions, about things she was directly in-charge-of and responsible for.

Think you have very shallow understanding of the cases under NACC purview. Try checking malfeasance charge brought against CRES in the 2010 killings. By the way, the killings have nothing todo with the RTA.

So, apparently, she won't be there to answer questions by herself, would she have had the ability to I seriously doubt anyway, but this is really, again, and one more time, spitting in the face of the Thai State's authorities!

Who do the present members of this clan of immigrated shady Akku Chinese profiteurs think they are! Hope it has at least been made sure she will not go out of Thailand before the decision falls about her impeachment, ...although it's still the sales period in Paris and London! And till the NACC charges against her have come in front of a Court as a matter of fact.

And who's going to speak on her behalf? Mister white, and other, lies? I would like it a lot to be close to him, looking him straight in the eyes, when he is sworn in... Telling the truth, him? Has he ever? Does he even know what it means?

Oh my, what a despicable bunch!
