Any help will be great. Part my daily diet. I've been to big c and tesco no luck.. Anyone seen Greek yogurt on the shelves within thailand?

Thanks in advance

I buy mine at Makro. It's not with the other yogurts but rather by the cheese.

I make my own.

Tried all the yogurts as starter.

The one which gives the best results is called "probiotic", from Tops at Central festval.

1 bottle of probiotic with 1.5 lt of Meiji low fat.

My breakfast: Hahne Muesli, extra nuts, lots of fruit, milk, yogurt.

Actually I like "ham nd eggs" ,and croissants, better. But.....

No need for steps 1, 2 or 4 in Thailand if using pasteurized milk.

"...Cover your not-yet-yogurt with a clean towel, turn on the oven to its warm setting, and let rest for at least 4 hours but preferably overnight. If you can, try to set the oven's temperature so that it stays at a steady 108° F for the entire time..."

That's the step I couldn't repeat. Never seen an oven with a warm setting 108F/39C. How are common are they?

I have a jug of yoghurt brewing at the moment.

It's so warm in Thailand you just leave it at room temperature.

No need for any warming or oven.

All the instructions you read are for production in cold or temperate climates.

Nobody gives advice for people living in the tropics.

One big tablespoon of Yolida yoghurt stirred into a jug of pasteurized whole milk, and you're ready to go.

ham and egg would be also more healthy than the sugar loaded muesli....

This Greek Yogurt is sold at all the large Big C's. This is prob the most popular brand of Greek Yogurt in Australia and was very pleased to find it at my local Big C.

I dispute the "tastes good" comment regarding Yolida

As always, personal taste but both I and my missus have rejected this one on the grounds of being cr4p!

They have Greek Yoghurt in Big C, Pattaya (the old Carrefour). For bog standard yoghurt from Makro we have found Dutchie? yoghurt to be tasty.

That's cos it's unflavored and unsweetened.

Add 2 teaspoons of sugar and it's great (just like the big manufacturers do).

The thought of adding sugar (yourself) to yoghurt seems soooooo wrong!

The missus makes a very nice honey and lemon juice that I add to my yoghurt and rolled oats....

Just after I posted that I did a run to Foodland and have seen that they have a new Greek Yoghurt brand in. Can't remember the name but it wasn't there at the beginning of the week.

Just purchased a carton of the one from Foodland.

Unsweetened and good thickness.

B97 for 400g

I have to say that I will buy it again. Probably not regularly as I am a fan of both Yolida and the Gourmet Yoghurt (plastic container with red screw top lid) as they are both excellent to cook Indian food with but if I fancy something thicker then I definitely will.
