A Great Reason To Visit Maya Tomorrow

The Chiang Mai Photographic Group's 7th annual exhibition opens tomorrow on the 3rd floor at Maya. Over a hundred images by 25 photographers and along with our new location (after 6 years at Airport Plaza) we've got a new style of presentation. Courtesy of one of our sponsors we have switched to inkjet printing and what a difference it makes! So, those of you who visit us every year along with anyone who wants to see a really interesting and eclectic collection of work and meet the photographers are invited to join us for a glass of wine at our Grand Opening, Saturday 24th January at 4:00pm.

By the way, a whole month of photographic events starts here - f/28 involves shows all over town and you can find the details here.

The Chiang Mai Photographic Group aims to further all aspects of the picture taking abilities of its members through the sharing of skills and mutual support in an informal, inclusive and enjoyable atmosphere. All are welcome, regardless of experience - if you want to improve your skills please come along to a meeting and try it out. We meet every two weeks on a Wednesday evening at River Market - more here.

Thank you very much. A great reason to make my first trip to Maya.

You're welcome! I don't know if you made it but lots of people did and, contrary to our initial fears about the number of visitors to Maya, we had what must be a record attendance and many, many appreciative comments. The exhibition is on daily from 11:00 - 20:00 until Sunday, February 8th and if you go up to the 3rd floor in the glass lifts, you pretty much step right into it. Here are some pictures from yesterday afternoon.

If you went, please let us know how you liked it.

Will do, after Thursday my next in-town day.

The photos are absolutely stunning, but there were so many people at the opening reception that it was difficult to see them. Besides I was busy talking with everyone. Good strategy, Maya Mall! I'll be back soon to really spend some time looking at the photographs. Maybe today.

Wonderful photos, interesting mix, well worth the trip, congratulations to the Chiang Mai Photographic Group and many thanks.

Great photos, I 'll be going again to take a friend.
