January 24, 201511 yr Does anybody have any recommendations for tailor in Bangkok that can make kilts. I am looking for a shop that can make make a kilt to a pattern at a reasonable a price. Has anybody used a tailor recently to make similarly unusual items?
January 25, 201511 yr There's a couple of old threads that ask pretty much the same thing here: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/212736-kilt-maker-in-bangkok/ and here: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/710211-kilt-hire/?p=7555914&hl=kilt the latter contains reference to someone who sells on eBay and ships worldwide. And in another forum from which I would not be permitted to quote or provide a link (because of TV forum rules) someone asked the same question and someone else recommended this place. http://www.rajasfashions.com/ Suggest you call them first. If you have a kilt you could bring along for them to see it would probably be even better than just a paper pattern.
January 25, 201511 yr I am not a Scot but i would have thought having the correct tartan would be important. Once you have that then any tailor worth his needle and thread should be able to make one apart from the sporon. Take in a sample or photos for them to copy.
January 26, 201511 yr Author Thanks for the tip. I am not scottish, and I am actually looking for something a bit more Mad Maxish or perhaps a bit Game of Thrones.
