January 24, 201511 yr Police intensify hunt for serial rapist and killerTHE SUNDAY NATIONBANGKOK: -- POLICE ARE hunting for a man who had allegedly raped eight elderly or middle-aged women - two of whom were also killed - in Nakhon Pathom and Samut Songkhram provinces from 2010 to 2014.Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) acting chief Pol Maj-General Thitirat Nonghanpitak presided over a meeting yesterday regarding these rape cases. The meeting was also attended by investigators from the Crime Suppression Division (CSD), Provincial Police Region 7 and officers from Samut Songkhram's Bang Khon Thee Police Station. The hunt follows an attempted rape on December 25, 2014 when the suspect - identified as a 170cm-tall well-built man - broke into a 70-year-old woman's Nakhon Pathom home reportedly with the intent to rape her. He instead ran into and assaulted her 39-year-old daughter.A doctor later reported that there was no sign of rape on the victim except wounds from the physical assault. Police, however, found the suspect's semen at the scene, which matched eight other home intrusion and rape cases. The first case took place on September 26, 2010, when a 70-year-old woman was raped in her Nakhon Pathom home, followed by the rape of a 71-year-old woman in the same province on November 10, 2010.The third rape and murder of a 61-year-old woman took place on January 8, 2012 followed by the rape of a 59-year-old woman on December 6, 2012 and another rape of a 70-year-old woman on December 8, 2012 - all in Samut Songkhram. The sixth case was on December 16, 2012 in Samut Songkhram and the victim was 47 years old. In Nakhon Pathom, the rape of a 75-year-old woman occurred on March 23, 2013, while the rape and murder of a 78-year-old woman took place on June 11, 2013.As the rapist remains at large, several rape victims have moved residence, fearing the attacker could return and assault them again, while many women in the area are living in fear. CSD acting chief Pol Colonel Akaradech Pimolsri said the CSD's involvement was due to Thitirat's instruction that they probe key cases affecting public morale and where culprits remain at large.Tomorrow afternoon, CSD and Provincial Police Region 7 will hold a joint meeting in Nakhon Pathom about the rape cases, he said.Meanwhile, the police chief's adviser Pol General Jaramporn Suramanee, who went to the scene of the attempted rape in Nakhon Pathom yesterday afternoon, said police were trying to collect more evidence at the scene of the nine cases to find links to this serial rapist. He urged people not to let elderly women stay alone at home and to install more lights and intrusion alarms.Source: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/national/Police-intensify-hunt-for-serial-rapist-and-killer-30252616.html-- The Nation 2015-01-25
January 25, 201511 yr Popular Post Lights and alarms, ha! Get a dog. We had one successful and 3 attempted break-ins, on the last attempt the dog heard him coming and was waiting inside as he tried the kitchen window. One big bark and he was off, but only made about 30m before the dog caught him and he went face down on the concrete road. As I work away we now have 2, and one sleeps inside at night. Problem solved.
January 25, 201511 yr Popular Post ok................. you all know it's coming from someone. So, I would like to get it in first if I may......... yes?.................... thanks guys. Surely a Thai wouldn't do this. Feelin much better...............thanks.

January 25, 201511 yr What you need on a crime like this is for the top man of the RTP to say this crime needs to be solved and quickly. I can guarantee after these words are uttered the man will be arrested in days. But I'm guessing this place isn't a tourist area, so it doesn't really matter.
January 25, 201511 yr "A doctor later reported that there was no sign of rape on the victim except wounds from the physical assault. Police, however, found the suspect's semen at the scene, which matched eight other home intrusion and rape cases." Perhaps if Thailand would redefine the term "rape" to meet what is accepted in the west, the doctor's report would be different, and there would be many more arrests and convictions. I am sure there are those who continue to believe that rape is impossible inside of a marriage. I have also been informed that among some hill tribes that if a girl is alone, a man will not be charged with raping her and it is up to to the girl's family to take all responsibility in raising the child if a pregnancy results from the rape. Of course, if the rapist is a member of a prominent family, everyone looks the other way.
January 25, 201511 yr No wonder the old broad next to my place leaves window open at night with doormat saying welcome under open window, hmm wishful thinking?

Problem solved. Are they Pekingese or Pomeranian? Not my style. One is a Hound (brown and white, droopy ears) around 30kgs. the other is a Thai yellow dog (for want of a better description) about 25kgs. Both are male and were adopted after being abandoned, though not at the same time.

January 25, 201511 yr 8 Victims they know about.......................and how many more have been raped that didn't report it.
January 25, 201511 yr So it only takes eight rapes and two murders for the RTP to decide something must be done. Pretty quick off the mark. If Peter Sutcliffe had thought to move to Thailand he could have chalked up a thousand by now.

As usual it is not the offence, it is the public morale which is important. Let's keep on embarassing them in the media. Only way to get things dome (maybe)
January 26, 201511 yr To all those fond dog owners who believe they are safe, the Bangkok Post's story on this nutter says he poisoned the dog first.
