Of course its biased, but its normal to feel antipathy to criminals, unless you are one. I just don't agree that what is more important is that the charges were accurate, when the people making the charges were doing it illegally.

Popular Post Just1Voice
I would have no problem with her impeachment, IF it was done by a democratically elected Senate. However, when you have a coup appointed senate, which is totally illegal, it no longer is a case of "justice", but one of "getting rid of the opposition". Anyone care to prove how all these millionaire Generals came by their wealth?

Popular Post IMA_FARANG
I've said it before and I will say it again: There has been no real Democracy in Thailand for at least the last 20 years. The reason: Real Democracy requires an educated population able to reason calmly and rationally, allow honest dissent, and recognize the right of others to peacefully protest and express their opinions. That does not apply to "politics", politicians, and especially organized political parties (all of them) in Thailand.. For the last two decades (maybe longer) that has not been the nature of Thai "politics", and therefore, real "Democracy" in Thailand has been not exited for at least 20 years. Popular Post slapout
Impeachment is kind of like shaking your finger at a misbehaving child in front of a audience. The loss of face impresses the wrongdoer/audience more than the deed or the punishment. Get on with the promised clean up/out of corruption as practiced by the politican, civil servents, BIB, etc as well as the private sector who facilite and benifet of same. First jail, then restitution and/or seizure of assets must be incuded to even start to solve the corruption problem that has become so prevelant.
Popular Post moe666
It doesn't really matter what anyone thinks itis a fact that she has been impeached. It is likea penalty kick that mightnot be a penalty, hoo hum. If the PTP hadn't been such idiots they would still be in power but OOOO no they just had to have a amnesty bill, they have no one but themselves to blame for being out
Popular Post rubl
K. Chaturon was Dept. Minister of Finance under PM Chavalit 1996 - 1997. Under Thaksin as Minister to the Office of the PM he was too social and Thaksin moved him to the position of MoJ where he created the DSI. Again moved to be Dept PM. In 2008 banned for 5 years and upon return appointed as MoE by PM Yingluck. K. Chatuporn seems capable of enraging both pro and con. As a former education minister in Thailand, Chaturon would be something of an expert when it comes to dereliction of duty. Nobody can tell me that the results were his best efforts......can they? This is the same education minister appointed by YL who was removed from his position by the junta. He is also the same minister who held meetings with his staff on how to spend the education budget on that crappy turf that is rotten and having investigations currently being examined. He is also the idiot who approved to send all students an iPad. He was also the same idiot who was planning to make school lessons done in the home by vdos and have the kids go to school just to review their answers. So does anyone really think this guy knows what he is talking about or just possibly that he is speaking out to kiss Thaks and YLs butts for the job they gave him? A PTP hardcore member for sure. He managed to avoid the spotlight in the riots by running out of the education ministry and controlling it from a school outside of Bkk while keeping his workers inside their main building in the center of the protests. A coward the same as so many other red shirts who use other people to do their bidding. He was removed from the ministry due to his redshirt affiliations from what I remember.

Dogmatix
There was a reason why Thaksin trusted Chaturon with the Education Ministry. The ministry is known for rampant corruption and Chaturon, who has worked for every party that could pay, doesn't have a reputation as a clean politician, despite his phoney holier than thou pretence.

Tatsujin
I do love to hear from these (paid) Thaksin propagandists coming out of the woodwork a bit more now, it's always good for a giggle with their fake righteousness. He's hardly a poster child for virtue or honesty nor was he even good at any of his jobs. And for those posters that kept calling this an "illegal" coup, just remember that it was approved of and endorsed by the King himself and stating otherwise is against the law and insulting to the Monarchy.

Wasn't the last government voted in by the Thai citizens deemed legal by EC, the internatinal observers and then approved by his Majesty?
