There will be a 2,000 baht fine for late reporting as long as you are civil.

That's better than I dared to hope. I can't believe I read my stamp wrong. Damn. It's true..I am getting older.

It happens - and you will probably not be alone (on any given day) - best to set a reminder in whatever system you use as soon as you return from making report.

I was late once....2000 thb.

and the officer was a little curt with me.

he kept looking at his computer screen then looking at me then back at the computer.

I could see the screen and thee ws nothing bad about me on it!

before I left, he made a point of showing me my next 90 day reporting date and even highlited it for me!

not bad.

like you, I was afraid of what might happen that day..

just be nice, and act like you take your error seriously.

you should have no problem.

A bit late now,but for the future, you need a wall calender, buy or get free one from bank,

put it on the wall near breakfast table,so you see it every morning, fill in dates that

you need to report as soon as you come home from immigration, and your yearly

renewal date.been doing this for years and never miss a report,a little effort and

you can save a lot of money and hassle.

Your correct. I usually do that exact thing. I am ready to muster tomorrow.

Was once almost a year over the 90 day reporting date. Due to my own stupidity with a first non B a few years ago (I thought it lasted a year and didn't need to do anything). Yup. I was daft.

What happened? Well, I was almost vomiting with worry on the way to Immgration (I found out I should've been reporting as I was checking the process on renewal). I probably deserved it for being too lax. The Imm officer must've seen my worry (I was very white with worry). He took pity. No fine. Not even a telling off. I did apologise in a most humble fashion and perhaps this helped.

He just told me what I should do and ''please don't worry so much. Not overstay ok? Not big thing. Just not do again, ok? Remember 90 day. Every 90 day. (Laughs) Don't worry so much ok?'' Top fella and I never really have a go at Thai Imm for that reason. I deserved the book throwing at me and he was most sympathetic.

My advice is to apologise and say you'll never do it again. You'll probably get a fine (around 2,000 baht). I would take 20,000 with you just in case... hit-the-fan.gif

Yeah, they can't etc...but perhaps they can (although most Imm officers I have come across have been good eggs).

The maximum fine for doing a 90 day report late is 5000 baht not 20k baht which is the max fine for overstay.
