No problem we send one of our thai drinking buddys to grab a bottle when the train halted .

i told him to get a small bottle but he came back with a big one oh well we had a ball anyway and the train security had a few shots on there patrol back and forth.

You have my sympathy OP. I ran out of alcohol once. It was the worst 5 minutes of my life.

Just take care when you go between carriges for a smoke,they can be dangerous,or do you daringly flout the rules and light up in the carrige,as i did once ,but this too is not without risk,as i fell asleep and set my bedding aflame,luckily i managed to convince them it was a rouge spark from my pc,{500 baht greased the wheels,so to speak],i was somewhat jarred from the smouldering sleeping bag,but a good nights sleep followed.i was in second class,of course.

i like me drink plus the trains a good way to get into contact with locals i wouldnt travel in any thing above 3rd class sitting not because i cannot afford it but because i like drinkin wiTh the locals and havin a laugh.
