John Cross, would be journalist for the Daily Mirror waffling on on about Spurs fading this last two season run ins, much to Pochettino's concern.!!!  He clearly hasn't done any homework and lives in some kind of LaLa land....... Week took 39 out of possible 42 points finishing last season and hadn't lost this season since november till last weekend!!

How do journalists like Cross and that lard are biased <deleted> Custis that writes for the Scum actually find employment is beyond me.

Was wondering why Harry Winks is on beIN Sports with Keys and Grey. Just googled his injury and he's in Qatar to see the world's leading specialist to try and solve his ankle injury.

FWIW. He seems a really nice, level headed lad. He actually makes more sense than the majority of those time served pundits. Good luck to him and hope he get's his ankle sorted.

He's a great lad and just as he was putting in real noteworthy performances against top opposition he succumbs to this worrying injury.  His absence has been a blow, taking away the option to replace Dembele earlier and bring on Winks to hold the midfield later in the game which he's very competent at even at his young age.

Actually i should add here that we also also lost to City (and Juve in the CL) before christmas but thats City again again of course we never had the 500m to spend did we,  so its important for Spurs fans to keep all this in perspective.  Perhaps those journalists have been reading the ill informed sh*te from the usual berks on here?

I generally read the BBC, Guardian, Telegraph and Independent reports mainly. Probably like most fans I believe a lot of journalists have an agenda against my club (I honestly believe some do). Off the top of my head I like Phil McNulty (BBC head writer), Daniel Taylor (Guardian) and particularly Henry Winter (Times) who I think can write without bias/agenda.

Can anybody else recommend any other football journos?

Football writers consider themselves as personalities because they regularly appear on TV and radio, plus fewer people are buying newspapers these days.

Before there was agents, journalists did the same as agents do: matched up players with clubs and vice versa. They also had good background info: likes the ladies, likes a drink, likes a bet, whatever.

I don't think journos have it in for any club in particular, but sensational stories sell papers and if they are stories from the big clubs they sell even more. Start worrying when the papers aren't writing about your club so much.

Didn't think we'd see Toby again in a Spurs shirt but this was a reminder of how he'll be missed.  A truly class player.  He would improve any side in the league but hopefully not next season, despite the obvious interest thats being shown.

Is there a possibility that Poch wants to play a back three against the parked bus in the semi two try and release are wing back and stretch that narrow United defense?  They're obviously going to sit back and wait for a mistake so better we cut into them early, and try to avoid another Mourinho boreathon.

Personally i'd be very happy to see this, and should enable more opportunities for Kane and Dele to get into the United center backs.

Agree with most of that but not entirely.  And Sky definitely has bias.  They don't even seen to bother to properly vet pundits for games to ensure an unbiased opinion and on that note Thierry Henry as bad a pundit as he was a great footballer.  Custis for scrawls garbage for the Scum is ridiculously biased.

Theres a handful of journalists that are really worth listening to for their angle of a topic but most have their heads firmly stuck up their arse.

As long as he doesn't play Aurier & Sissoko for the rest of this season

then we can see what to do with them come the summer.

I also don't want to see Lamela play instead of Son, but i think that's what Poch will do, seeing that Son played the full 90 last night.

Very disappointing result,  but there's always next year.  Just did not create enough chances to win.

As long as we can keep Poch as manager there's hope for next season .

At least we beat Arsenal in the league again , something to cheer about.  :whistling:

Mr Stevens , its not polite to gloat at others defeats .

Especially when Chelsea are playing in the other semi final today and they may be playing Man U in the final, if Chelsea win m would you still be wishing Manu the "very best of luck in the final", IF the opposition was Chelsea ?

whats the prob (removed),????  the Totts Bottlers/Chokers on this  thread ,are far from being angels  in giving any praise (apart from them selves) to any one particular C/sea, ,just a bit of return fire( ,not gloating and being rude) just footy tribal banter.   E/S  has grave doubts about C/sea reaching  the final, when taking form into consideration, but being a one off match ,with plenty to play for, i,am looking for big improvement providing The Jerk selects the right formation and players(no back three), and i would have no qualms what so ever in wishing M/U the best of luck if we meet in the final, so long (removed) have a nice day

"so better we cut them in early" which you did but unfortunately to no avail,Mourinho,s "borethon" came back to bite your lot in the ar*e......as for our Harry he must have gone AWOL as he was completely dominated by Uniteds centre backs.....my condolences once again for the unprecedented record of 8 consecutive cup semi final defeats added to yet another trophyless season.....wishing you all the best for the future

Kane must be injured still. His movement just wasn't the same as when he was firing on all cylinders. To be marked out the game by Smalling and Jones suggests that to be the case.
