Adam you said it yourself fourth Tourist Visa presumably back to back hardly defines you as a tourist more as a resident, you are lucky they are even entertaining this! It won't last forever so you need to start looking at other Visas.

You mean an ed- Visa , married or workpermit right ?

Adam look up the definition of tourist, then ask yourself why they are making it harder for you to keep getting a tourist visa.

Seems normal to me. Get a Visa that is honest and signifies your proposed status in Thailand.
