Just kicking back in one of the coffee shops I frequent, and the Chalong police just rocked up for the second time reminding everyone that it's midnight closing. I guess they are having a crackdown on closing times.

I think it's more of a reminder to get your cash ready if you want to stay open later than midnight.

There were no single prostitutes in the cafe that morning. Although possibly some bar girls hitched up with farangs. I don't possibly know why they would have stopped. Perhaps it was the fact they had alcohol licences.

The law is midnight everywhere in the country except a handful of 'special entertainment zones' including RCA, cowboy, patpong, but IIRC not nana.. I dont believe Bangla was ever officially made one.. In those designated zones they legally get one extra hour to 1am.
