Thailand urged to better understand history at Chulalongkorn

BANGKOK: -- Thailand needs to increase its understanding of history to more successfully engage the world today and build peace in Southeast Asia, according to a recent discussion of the Holocaust and genocide held at Chulalongkorn University.

Pheu Thai party tells US impeachment against Ms Yingluck illegal

BANGKOK: -- The Pheu Thai party has submitted a letter to the US administration through its embassy in Bangkok to clarify that the entire impeachment process against former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra by the National Legislative Assembly was unlawful.

NACC orders revocation of land deeds held by iron smelter firm in Prachuap

BANGKOK: -- The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) Tuesday ruled that landright documents for 11 plots in Prachuap Khiri Khan province were issued illegally and should be revoked.


Prachuap Pattana Development Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Sahaviriya Steel Industries, holds those documents and the Land Department has been told to cancel them.

Royal Thai Police calls on public to provide tips about bomb suspects

BANGKOK: -- The Royal Thai Police Tuesday called on the public to provide tips to police about two men suspected of planting two pipe bombs outside the Siam Paragon shopping mall Sunday night.


Police spokesman Pol Lt Gen Prawut Thawornsiri said police would welcome information from the people on the two suspects and the people can call 191 and 1599 on around-the-clock basis.

National Aids Committee resolves to revive school condom vending machine project

All gasohol prices to go up 50 satang tomorrow, except E 85 30 satang

PTT and Bangchak today announced the increase of all gasohol prices by 50 satang, except E 85 which will increase 30 satang.

The new oil prices will become effective from 5 am Wednesday.

But diesel and benzine 95 remain unchanged.

The new oil prices will be:

Gasohol 95 27.40 baht/litre, Gasohol 91 26.08 baht/litre, E 20 24.68 baht/litre, E 85 21.98 baht/litre, Benzine 95 33.96 baht/litre, and diesel 25.09 baht/litre.
