February 3, 201511 yr I'm considering renting a car at Chang Mai airport next month. The airline I'm using Nok Air has a promotion with Thai rent a car if I book a car now. Has anyone used this service? You can reserve the car you want online with your flight number and a credit card number but won't be charged till you pick up the car. Has anyone just arrive at that airport and just got on the spot car rental, or is it better to book a car online first? It seems the selection of cars are a lot less waiting last minute.
February 3, 201511 yr Used them couple times and found them really good - good vehicles, prompt, cheap, personable. If Nok are partnering with them, I'd trust it. You can of course book separately with Thai rent a Car and have them meet you at the airport, though the office is not actually onsite (same with Budget). Either way, best to book beforehand than wait till you get there and have to hang around and potentially spend more. Aside: booked numerous cars online over many years here and never had an issue.
