Ukrainian guide arrested for allegedly robbing Pattaya exchange shop

Featured Replies

Pattaya, Chon Buri: - Police have arrested a 27-year-old Ukrainian tour guide for having allegedly robbed a money exchange shop in Pattaya for Bt200,000 in cash.

The arrest of Ayder Bezaziyev took place at 1 am Tuesday after he allegedly robbed the Rachata Exchange shop on Soi 16 off Pattaya Sai Sarm road in Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district at 9 pm Sunday.

Initially, Bezaziyev denied he had robbed the shop so police took him to search his room in Central Pattaya and held him for questioning after a small bag of marijuana was found in the room. He was initially charged with having drug in possession.

He claimed that at the time of robbery, he was collecting money from his clients at several Pattaya hotels and he then had drinks with friends.

However, he admitted that he robbed the shop when Chon Buri Police chief Maj Gen Nitipong Niamnoi came to the Pattaya police station to question him at 6 pm Tuesday.

Bezaziyev said he decided to rob the shop so that he could repay an amount he had embezzled from his tour company. He said he also need money to buy a plan ticket to return home.

He said he robbed the shop with his BB gun that he threw into a bush in South Pattaya after the robbery.

Police arrested Bezaziyev because a staff of the shop remembered that the guide once exchanged his money at the shop and he had similar look to the robber.

All done and dusted, why didn't the idiot buy the plane ticket with the cash
