Popular Post ThePlant
Go for it. If you fancy a gargle have one but I'm sure some of the poorer members who can't afford a beer or whose wives have forbidden them from drinking will be on calling you an alkie from their grindhouses.....

pgrahmm
Only get one bottle of good rum a month per personal regimen....then if/when I want it I have it.....seldom during the day.....no bottle survives the month & could be gone very quickly if we have visitors.....When out for dinner could have up to 2 but ordering a name brand and getting it two different things - even if showing on the menu.....Mrs does not drink and leaves what I do up to me....

Popular Post chrisinth
OP, serious answer to your light-hearted thread....................... If you have to ask others what time you should start (what they consider to be acceptable) drinking, you have a potential problem. If you have set a time, but are counting down the minutes and seconds to said time, you have a potential problem. If your buddy who starts at 08:00 functions better than you between 08:00 and whatever time you have set for the off, you need to evaluate what time is good for you. I'm assuming you started this in jest, but don't let it run away from you, or rather don't hide the desire for a drink. I'm speaking from experience, been dry since May 1999, but have absolutely no problems with drinkers. Listen to what your body is telling you and enjoy, drink when you want to, but always be aware of the road you're travelling. Now where did I put that bong...................... For clarity, that's a joke about the bong.................

WhamBam
In the U.K. I do not drink alcohol at all. In Thailand not before 9 p.m. though the sessions can last until the bars close.
KaneGoring
Usually I'm only a social drinker but have felt the lure and alcoholism runs in my family. I drink when I wan't a drink if I ever feel I need a drink I don't have one. Dad's rule was not before 4pm Mom's was never drink alone. I use theses as guides but rules go out the window on holidays. I have met a few older friends in Patts they usually meet up at 15.30-16.30 and are done by 9/10 I usually take it easy while I'm with them then when they finish I head out but usually try and pace myself at least till I find my Tilek for the night. How long till my next holiday?

bangkokjulia
No specific regime in place where I am concerned. Everyone is different. For me, no set time. I drink far less than I did when I was young. Having said that, when I do drink, it is rarely one or two. Each to their own. Cheers

Cheers Good gawd young woman, you really should choose your words more carefully. Cheers I will put this down to the exuberance of youth, at least you didnt mention the dreaded Cheers Extra. Be aware, this tramp juice ranks right up there alongside other such dross as Red Horse, Archa and Chang (in whatever guise it appears). It is the favoured tipple du jour of grindhouse employees, skint pensioners, Teflrs, digital pikeys and nomads, and other financially challenged individuals. Please go and wash your mouth out with a glass of Bundy OP. Make sure to swallow rather than spit for maximum effect.
Anthony5
I never have alcoholic drinks during daytime, because that's when I usually sleep it off. On a more serious note, I never drink alcohol before dinner time.
