Packing Food

Featured Replies

As the title suggests...do you pack food you haven't eaten in restaurants and take it home?

Are there certain places you will or won't do this?

If so...why or why not?

If the food is good but we can't finish it (usually due to the "eyes-bigger-than-belly" syndrome) we always ask for a "take home". Never came across a restaurant which doesn't have the styrofoam boxes etc. for the job - so they must all expect it. In most places, if there is a lot of food left over, the staff will ask whether you want it wrapped to take out.

Only exceptions are "all you can eat" buffet places or if we are guests and someone else is paying.

Smokes, if you go to sizzler you can find lots of people who order a chicken something with free salad bar - and then sit there and eat 14 plates of salad and take the piece of chicken home. Not really my style. I eat 14 plates of salad and the chicken. :)

i even take the bones home for our dogs,,lol
