I am currently on an ED visa which is due to expire on the 1st of April. As I am now 50 I would like to change this to a retirement visa, I also have to go back to the UK next month and I intend not to get a re-entry permit but instead come back in with another 30 days from the 16th of March.

I understand the financial requirements of the visa and I'm married to a Thai but I'm not sure if I can do everything in Hua Hin do I have to go to BKK, leave the Country etc etc?

You should apply for a single entry non-o visa based upon marriage while your are in the UK.

Then apply for the the extension of stay based upon retirement (it is not a visa) in Hua Hin during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry the visa will allow..
