BANGKOK: -- POLICE are hunting for eight suspects over their involvement a car bomb attack in Narathiwat's Muang district on Friday that wounded 13 people, with arrest warrants to be issued in seven days, provincial police chief Maj-General Pattanawut Angkanawin said yesterday.

NLA to start impeachment of ex-senators on Wednesday

Warning over flu, hand foot and mouth disease

Lamphun has issued an official warning over diseases linked to the increasingly warmer weather, the National News Bureau of Thailand reported yesterday.

Officials from the province's Public Health Office reported that flu and hand, foot and mouth disease were very common at this time of year.

The office said these illnesses could occur in people with an immune system weakened by the change in the weather.

It recommended that residents in the province follow the Public Health Ministry's guidelines on maintaining health such as washing hands before and after a meals and especially when using the toilet, and keep living areas clean.

The office also advised the public to refrain from visiting places prone to diseases, adding that locals must seek immediate medical attention if they develop symptoms related to the two illnesses.

Four activists arrested at victory Monument

BANGKOK: -- Police arrested four activists of the Free Thais of Thailand 58 group at the Victory Monument at 9:40 am before they could distribute flyers and t-shirts.

They were arrested by plainclothes police once they left their car and they were later taken to the Phayathai police station.
