Hi all,

I need to somehow get internet on my laptop whilst I am out and about. I was thinking maybe using my phone as a wifi hotspot. I am rubbish with technology!

Can anyone suggest the best way of doing this?

Yes, of course.... Go load extra money on your phone and call Dtac and tell them you want a 3g Internet package added.

When you use your phone as a wifi hotspot and don't have good security, you are opening the door for virusses on your phone.

they do have anti-virus/security apps for smartphones. Like Norton.,etc.

Yes, but most people don't have them installed. I am not a great fan of Norton anyhow, it doen't cath everything.
