Australian Bitcoin trader Adam Tepper killed in Phuket motorbike accident

Featured Replies

Some media reports state he ran into a trailer being towed by another vehicle, while this one says he hit a pole.

Does anyone know the actual facts of the accident as it seems another party may be partially to blame?

WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES

If anyone really wants to know don't rush to the link, you won't learn anything, but for the curious squeamish, don't worry there are no particularly graphic images.

You and that other person who said he looks like he's sleeping are not looking at the right images. There have been a bunch posted since the 26th. He's not the guy in the bushes.

Not "hard hearted" at all. I'm sorry the guy is dead, but if you're going to ride a bike, especially in Thailand, at least have the common sense to dress appropriately. Stupidity WILL get you killed

how come such intelligent man was not wearing helmet???????????

Obviously being an astute BitCoin Trader, and being astute, regarding personal safety, are not synonymous. My condolences to his family whistling.gif

The bank of Thailand announced it was banned.

And banks make law now ???

The BOT or Bank Of Thailand is the Thai Central Bank, and in this case they must have the authority to ban Bitcoin as that is exactly what they did in 2013 I believe. I believe they have also reconsidered that ban, but to answer your question, YES, in Thailand the BOT has the authority to allow or disallow any currency they choose.

In this regard, yes, the Bank of Thailand controls the banking industry in Thailand.

Just in case you've never noticed, the banks control the worldcoffee1.gif .

"no particular graphic images", I've seen many graphic images on sites in Thailand but some on this facebook page really upset me. It wasn't until I saw how many were posted in just the last few months that I realised just how bad things are here. It's a disgrace, TPTB should be ashamed. RIP to all the victims.

riding a bike without a helmet is like climbing mountain without harness or jumping without an emergency canopy. anything go wrong and you are dead.

as for bitcoin, it s not prohibited to use bitcoin, it s the central bank that refuse bitcoin as legal tender.

you are free to receive or send btc in Thailand as an individual but a Thai company is not authorised.

rip!

RIP…And if his family are reading this thread then I offer my condolences.
