Hotel rates have fallen the most in Pattaya

Featured Replies

This is the FIRST year ever i have ever seen the 449 sign out in front of sawadee on soi honey through peak and now still on high season, so it probably is true.

Defies the thai logic of raising prices when business is slow but my experiences with the sawadee group has been mostly good to very good for their low budget rooms.

Good management? Good staff and service still?

My experience is when times are lean here, prices go north.

I aways see deep discounts in Phuket making room rates actually cheaper there than here low season and I would say near par for what you get high season. Pattaya better wake up and compete.

Hotel discounts and special promotions in off season is true worldwide. A Thailand hotelier cares only about revenue in Thai baht not foreign currency pricing and exchange rates.

perhaps if they pay me to stay there and throw in free dinners i could be tempted.

FWIW I've seen a number of price reduction banners strung across CM recently, not old guest houses but more modern, recently built, six seven storey jobbies.
