I have been looking around for a while now and am looking for the TOP breeders of German Shepherd dogs in Thailand.

I have looked at a few breeders around and about and they all tend to breed inferior dogs, be it either anatomically or markings or temperament. They just don't appear to be well bred at all.

Can anyone else with a love of top class German Shepherd dogs point me in the right direction?

I have heard of a kennel in Rangsit or Phatum Thani, maybe moved from one place to the other?, that is supposed to have excellent European breeding animals and would love to get contact details for him so I can check them out. Any other kennels details would also be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Firstly thank you for the link to Google. As my post mentioned I have already been looking at breeders and believe it or not I did actually use Google to find some of them. I am looking for recommendations.

Yankee99 can you tell me why you recommended this breeder please? I have looked at his site before and contacted him with some interesting responses, to say the least, to my requirements for a puppy and parents. I was even told I could only observe the parents with no communication at all. Also I was informed that he would probably not be able to produce a puppy to meet my requirements. the most demanding of which were temperament, and sound hips and elbows. Also he didn't appear to want me to come and see the kennels at all.

If you have experience of kusaman farm that is better than the responses I got please let me know.

Hi

We occasionally have pupies. Male is imported from Germany with excellent pedigree and puppies are good. The male is the most clever dog I ever had. Unfortunately at the moment we have no pupies. Please keep in touch and you can come and observe as long as you want. We are not breeders, we care very much about our dogs

Have you tried to contact the Thai German Shepherd Club as they should be able to give you recommendations based on what you are looking for?

KS Pattaya (mentioned in bild766 link above) appear reputable and run competitions several times a year. Breeders and owners come from all over Thailand to take part so may be a good point of contact.

OP will obviously be aware but maybe not others that Hip displacia, you can correct my spelling, is a big factor here in Thailand. I'm not even sure where you could get it done but it's essential to get GS pups here hip scored.

Totally agree with overherebc. Having messaged the Kennel mentioned in my above comment to ask about future litters, parent pedigrees, health checks such as hip and elbow scoring / tests and DNA testing for diseases such as DM (Degenerative Myelopathy - a genetic gene common in German Shepherds), I have had no response, so therefore doubt that they are doing any of these much needed screening tests. Which is a real shame! No good producing great looking pups if they aren't able to live long happy lives free from genetic or hereditary problems.

If this forum needed anything it would be a sticky post listing dog breeders in Thailand with websites when available, phone numbers, addresses, breeds handled etc.

I would only recommend a few GSD breeders in Thailand if you are looking for something like european standard in term of how the evaluation and certification of the dogs. I would say that those I recommended they use imported parents which already certified in German breed survey or stud book.

These breeders they imported stud dogs and pregnant bitches with already have a showing title, working title at lease SchH1 or IPO1, hip and elbow score and DNA test.

The one at Rungsit is still there by Phaholyotin road but it is hard to find since they don't speak english and they don't have any kennel sign in front of the door. Another one is around Watcharapol-Ram intra area.

So in term of screening of genetic disease in Thailand, there is no requirement in any club, both Kennel Club of thailand and GSD Association of Thailand.
