Managed to lose my reading glasses on the Plane.

I'm in Pattaya(specifically) Jomtien.

My optician is sending me my script, Will an English one suffice or will they insist on a re test(It's only 3 months old).

If so please can anyone recommend somewhere?

Many thanks.

Well retesting doesn't cost anything and is done fast (considering that you don't have any special unusual problems).

Nobody is going to ask you to be tested for glasses. You can buy reading glasses cheaply in Lotus. If you have made it will be much more costly and they will push most expensive frames/lens but if not normal you may have no choice. I buy glasses by mail order from Zenni (shipped from China and normally get within a week) but that probably is not an option for you.

yes the cheap one: 100 Baht. You check on the market which fits you.

My wife did it that way. Actually that way you'll see something but it is far from perfect.

Getting checked and get the glasses that really fits your eyes makes a big difference.

The local shopping malls have shops that sell reading glasses at around 60 baht a go, Japanese shop in Seacon and other hopping malls too as well as local market stalls too, Lotus average around 180 baht a pair.

Don't need glasses for other matters so the 60 baht a pair spec does the job well enough for me and many others too.

Yes, opticians in Thailand can read a lens prescription written in English. My prescription was bilingual, Italian/German, and the optician at the Better Vision shop in Thonburi had no problem with it, asked just for confirmation that D/R stood for "Right".

If the prescription for your reading lenses has the same numbers for both eyes, you should be able to buy an inexpensive pair of spectacles off the rack at a department store.

Example of a prescription (the lower part, N.V., is for reading):
