low cost carrier from suwamuphumi airport

just looked at sky scanner for flights to samui, seems nok air and airasia both go from don muang airport. are there any low cost services from bkk airport to samui or phuket ?

no Thai low-cost-carrier has landing rights in Samui. The Airport is privately owned by Bangkok Airways. If NOK or Air Asia are offering something with Samui as a final destination, it is a Air-Land-Sea combination via Surat Thani or Nakhon Sri Thammarat Airports, which is time-consuming.

No Low-Cost-Carrier is flying from BKK to Phuket, but in many cases Bangkok Air offers surprisingly cheap fares if you book early or benefit from one of their many promotions (particularly in the soon approaching low season).

Thai Smile might offer something cheap from BKK too and they too have frequent promotions.

Ah and, no big deal, but it is called SUVARNABHUMI.....

Thankyou...im wondering next time i arrive in suwamaphumi from uk and want to go straight to samui i shouldnt really have a hard job getting a flight that same day ?

Depends what time you land - look at the BKK Airways website, it shows the times and you can book on line easily.

Next Saturday from Suvarnabhumi:

More than 20 flights to Samui either by Bangkok Airways or Thai Airways.

From 6am to 9pm.

A racetrack but far from "low cost".

Some of the most expensive domestic flights you can find.

About 18 flights to Phuket either by Bangkok Airways or Thai Airways.

From 7:45am to 10:40pm.

To Phuket there are another 20+ flights (!) from Don Mueang by misc low cost carriers.

Bangkok to Phuket is THE national racetrack!

As long as its not around Xmas and New Year you should be fine.

At those times book at least a week ahead if not longer.
