PM plays down reports of possible attacks

BANGKOK, 15 March 2015 (NNT) - Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha urges the public to help with ensuring security and stay vigilant following reports of possible violent incidents on Sunday.

The PM said he had been updated on the situation and called on the public to understand the government's security operations. Without stringent security measures, the country would be at risk since there were still ill-intentioned people, Gen. Prayut said.

The premier added that the general public should not panick and expressed confidence that security officers would be able to have the situation under control.
