Damn. I'm out of town. Poster looks so inviting and i know the food will be first class and the beer, whatever brand, bright green.

I'm pretty confident in saying that the Guinness will most certainly not be green.

Thought I had a green Bushmills T-shirt here somewhere I picked up for free last year...

No disrespect to our irish friends by all means enjoy the festivities, but what about my patron saint poor old george who isn't ever mentioned or is not given the same status as a british publc holiday, btw i will be celebrating him on the 23 rd of april as i do daily lol.

The Wolfetones have always been very much Pro Republican, Pro Sinn Fein, Pro the IRA. All their songs, directly or indirectly are an indictment against "The British."

Brit Doggie would love them. Perhaps should invite them to play at your St. Georges Day event. Now that would be a fun gig I d pay quite a lot for.

I d also wear a very strong crash helmet !!!!!!!!!!

Just walked into O'Malleys and got completely ignored by staff. I was even wearing a green shirt!

Ah well, another venue took my money.

The worst of the "Irish" pubs in Chiang Mai, IMO. How was the Red Lion? thumbsup.gif

O Malleys is your classic worldwide example of a pub pretending to be Irish, and there are many of them all over the globe, just because they stick a bike, an old sewing machine, and a poster of Dublin pubs on the wall !! There is nothing, zilch, zero, Irish about O Malleys !!

So who cares? They are catering to people who are out enjoying themselves and by all accounts they are succeeding. Good luck to them I say. A business catering to cynics would be probably work well in Chiang Mai, so long as the owner could tolerate the whiinging, of course.

It's only genuine if they have signed photos of The Pogues and Michael Flatley on the wall.

I actually have never step foot in O'Malleys, but I would certainly be better off there than any so called "Irish Bar" in the States. To witness the yearly drunkerfest of low class youths brawling and vomiting in the streets. No thanks!
