Travel Bangkok Hotel to Pattaya on April 18 2015

Sawasdee kap. I will be in BKK for business for two nights 16 and 17 April. Was planning on travelling to Pattaya Sat 18 April. Two queries. 1. What would be the best time to travel? I'm thinking leaving BKK about 8pm so as to miss traffic and most of the Songkran madmess in Pattaya for the 18th.

2. What are the chances of getting transport of any means? Tried Bells for a private transfer but could not make myself understood.

Go to Victory Monument around 7pm and take the van down to Pattaya for 100 baht-by the time you arrive 9.30 ish the mayhem should be over

Thanks petermilk. There are four of us plus luggage now so would rather hire a minivan Bkk hotel to Patts hotel.
