My main door comes with a Haffele lockset+lever as a single set. I like to change the keyset only, instead of buying the entire set that comes with the door handle. I've asked around at HomePro, Thai Watsada, Boonthavorn etc and it seems that the replacement lockset has to be ordered from BKK and takes 2 weeks.

Is there any locksmith shop who may have the items in stock? Or anyone knows who's the Haffele agent I can contact?

p/s: I've replaced such locksets before and don't really need the locksmith to do it for me.

Pull the lockset and take it to a locksmith and have them rekey it. A guy across the street from the municipal stadium entrance or the guy at the bend in Chiang Moi Rd left side.

I think the big stores simply wanted to sell you a set of suited keys which would be an ordered item since the lock is by hafele.

Are you wanting to change the keys because you have lost one?

For advice on hafele their big branch here in don chan area. Go down past global house another km past the chinese temple and u turn under the bridge.

May be easier all round just to buy a new cylinder and 4 keys but then again not sure of your reasoning.

Yes, I want to change the cylinder and get new set of keys that come with it. It's one third the price of entire 2-in-1 set.

OK, I'll go Do Chan to check them out.

Locksmith might just change the pins in the cylinders and make new keys which would be even less expensive, that is what he did with mine but it was not Haffele.

Yes they might here.

But a reputable locksmith may uphold the warranties issued by the likes of hafele and chubb in which they register all lock cylinders and key refs. So no two locks the same and can issue suited keys if necrssary. Many cases you cannot even get a key copied as again they are often unique.
