1st Class Insurance Coverage?

Featured Replies

Last night my wife had a minor accident (car), she managed to get on a dual cariageway driving in the wrong direction and hit another car. Only minor damages to both cars.

She was clearly her fault. Car in her name, 1st class insurance in her name. Sadly she didn't call the insurance.

Police came, took pictures and told her for an offence like that, she could risk a prison sentence of up to 2 years!!

Today she is going to the police station to settle with the other carowner, and probably be blackmailed by the cops.

My question is, does she call her insurance-agent to join the meeting?

And secondly, does the insurance cover both cars even if she was 100% at fault?

Thank you.

Yes she should call the insurance company and have their representative attend the meeting with the Police and other party. She should not attend the meeting until she can be sure the representative will be there with her and to say nothing until the representative understands the full implications.

1st Class insurance does cover both vehicle.
