I live in a Condo and recently i have been visited by scores of Ants,i have tried numerous sprays but alas the little Buggers keep returning, is there some other thing i could use to get rid of these buggers.

1.. will i have to put them on the Chanote.

2.. If i get bitten will i turn into Ant Man Super Hero.

You want to leave a bait on their trail, that they consume and take back to their nest to pass to the queen and the worker ants.

By mere rely spraying the ants on walkabout you will barely make impact.

The queen can lay 200,000 to 300,000 ants eggs every few days.

If you don't want to buy baits, get some borax and honey....make a mixture and leave it on their path. Same thing.

Make sure fido or your pussy can't eat it.

I keep giving you my advice people and you keep ignoring me.

OK, let's try once more.

OP, you go and get some acid in a powder form.

Catch each ant, open it's mouth and place a tiny bit of acid in it.

Close it's mouth and make sure it swallows.

Let it go.

Promise you.......it will work.

Costas isn't real good with ants in his pants. <deleted>

He's a masterful Milker but I wouldn't follow his ant advice.

You empty the little sachet into the trap, leave it somewhere they'll find it, and watch as they industriously carry the poison bit by bit back to their nest, the tiny fools.

best strategy for this is:

When you find the ants walking in big numbers to some left food or something like that, put the content of the sachet at a convenient place for them, without disturbing them too much.

when they found it and use it, remove the other food source, again as gentle as possible, don't make them upset.

So they can concentrate on that sachet.

Don't do it at the evening as they slow down than and only bring small quantities home and recognize it is poison.

If they transport more than half the sachet, the problem is fixed.

try using baking soda mixed with powdered sugar and water. They will lap it up and will take it back to the nest and all die!!

yes, that's the only stuff that works longtime (months)., except for the red ants. And yes I have problems finding it when I need it, 7/11s, family marts, Tescos, often they don't have it. But at least they always the horrible sprays bah.gif .

The instructions are in Thai, and if the ants had bothered learning to read Thai, they would not be eating this poison. There's a lesson here all foreigners.

Make sure there's no food left out - especially crumbs, etc. that might have fallen on the floor. Clean all places where food has been prepared/eaten thoroughly. I'm not trying to imply that your place isn't clean, but the ants are obviously coming in for something. Find what it is and clear it away/store it in the fridge/an air-tight container.

When the missus and I lived in Hua Hin, we had the same problem at our condo. She mopped the floor daily with a pink floor wash (can't remember the brand, but it was pink and we bought it at 7/11). That also helped keep the ants out.

... and as they used to say in the British army about fleas: poke its eyes out with a brick.

Or crabs; I'll trade you two blind ones for one with no teeth...

This stuff works! Nothing else does! Seriously, I haven't seen an ant in weeks after putting this out.

Big C always has it. Can't find it anywhere else reliably.

Keep food well sealed and kitchen and bathrooms clean and dry. Ten used borax or similar externally to the condo so they have to overcome a barrier to get in.

how do you keep a bathroom dry?

Stop having a shower and cut the water supply.
