Hows the Smoke/Air Quality in Uttaradit?

Featured Replies

Anyone in the area have details on the weather down there?

Just returned from a road trip to Sukhothai. If you drive south, the air quality improves considerably after you pass Lampang.

central and low-north quality very poor. Smoke, smoke and smoke! sad.png

PM 10 Chiang Mai 113. PM 10 Chiang Rai 149. PM 10 Phayo 121. Its higher than CNX. Uttaradit is some 220 km south of Chiang Mai and the northern point there is no PM count for your area but by pass knowledge your area is in a lot better shape than CNX and Chiang Rai. This haze, smog, smoke is covering just about all of Thailand. I'm some 1000 km from CNX and we have it where I am. Diffently not as bad as CNX but we can see it and smell it and yes people are wearing masks.

You might find this site helpful in the future: http://www.tmd.go.th/en/province.php?id=6 I see they don't have a reading for haze, but visibility of 6.0 km should tell you there isn't any. I live in Nakhon Sawan, the next province to the north and it's clear here, although today was really, really hot.

Phayao is reporting good so hope that helps. GF sister lives there.

I live on the lake on the opposite side to Muang Phayao and the smoke has been very bad for days

Edit

Since the 1st March

Have a look at : http://aqicn.org/map/thailand/

The readings are real time for all of Thailand. Please note that the readings are AQI which is a composite reading of the five worst pollutants, including PM!0 and PM2.5
