I want to import an e-cigarette from the UK. Im not interested in purchasing one from Thailand or any other country, so please dont advice on that.

Will the e-cigarette be confiscated at customs? Does anybody ahve any experience on ordering an e-cigarette from abroad?

Im aware that e-cigarette juice can be ordered from other countries without any difficulties after reading others posts but I want to know abotu an actual e-cigarette device imported from the UK.

Thanks!

if they spot it, it will be confiscated, technically they are illegal in Thailand, well nicotine containing juice is at least, have a look on the quit smoking forum, and read the vaping threads, some info there where you can find good quality juice etc in Thailand...wink.png

Ive read a decent number of threads saying that the juice can be imported by EMS easily with nobody reporting of seizure and one persons aying he even had to visit the post office to pay import tax.

Im not worried about importing the juice so much....

Im asking and worried about importing the actual e-cigarette device

Nope. Personal use is still okay. It is the importation for resale that is banned.

OP, all you have to do is make sure you have under the maximum amount of liquid allowed (I believe it is 100 ml), separate your tank/dripper from your mod, and remove the batteries from your mod/mech. Without batteries, you can pack your mod/mech in your check-in luggage.

Now you are running the risk of having it seized. There have been items sent to Thailand that have been seized by customs.

Is that true wagsuda? I use one and I was not sure they were illegal or not.

I vape as well. I have had no problems with my gear out in public. I have had no problems leaving or entering the country with my gear.

ive been looking at this website. Can anyone recommend which one of these starter kits I should order from the links below?

https://www.ukecigstore.com/e-cigarette-kits/beginner-kits/double-battery-kits.html

https://www.ukecigstore.com/e-cigarette-kits/combo-kits.html

I recommend finding something locally rather than running the risk of having something shipped (which is illegal). There are forums dedicated to this topic that are Thailand specific.

How is it possible then that ovaleasia.com are free to sell whatever they want to the Thai market?

Any experience with products from ovaleasia.com? They seem overpriced to what I can source in the UK.

Do you have any links or referneces to threads where people have confirmed that have had they items seized by customs?

Oh, the new member has found a website that sells them whistling.gif . I've seen this practice with laser pointers in forums back home.

Ban in 3, 2,....

Well I heard nicotine juice is illegal but the electronic cigarette devices are made from run of the mill off the shelf components so I would be surprised if they're illegal at all. It's the juices they're after and they do confiscate them if they're found.

There's not a lot to them, a battery, a switch, some kind of power regulating circuitry and a piece of wire which acts as a heating element inside a tank which has a wick.

I bring mine through with me all the time + the liquid.

Never a problem and it is in my carry on luggage. The liquid is stored in my main luggage.

I have 3 of them, with liquid and I have hand carried all over SEA and never had a problem, even in the likes of Singapore, were they are out and out illegal, but this is not what the OP intends, he is posting them to Thailand

I don't know if I am allowed to post links to other forums. However, if you do a search of "Thailand vaping" you should find area-specific vaping forums that will go in to great detail about the law and what you can and cannot bring in.

The e-cigarettes posted above are really not very good at all and I wouldn't recommend them. They don't produce much vapour at all and can easily break apart in your pocket. I got through a couple of these in a week once. I dropped one of the battery units before plugging it into the charger and it snapped in half which is a sure sign of bad quality for something so simple. They're the cheapest of Chinese crap regardless of where you purchase it from, they also cost about $10-20 wholesale from what I've heard.

The larger electronic cigarettes / vaping machines like the 'Innokin itaste 134' and models by Provari and other manufacturers provide a lot more vapour, more like smoking a regular cigarette but without the by products of combustion. They also have variable strength controls so you can control the vapour production.

The difference between one of the linked models and something like the above and the Itaste 134 (google it) or Provari / similar models is massive.

There is lots of information on the 'thai vape' forum.
