The plan is for my thai wife and myself to fly in to bali next thursday, submit my application for a non o multi entry based on marriage on friday morning and then get the visa on monday and fly back to bangkok.

Is this doable?

I am not sure what their policy is for getting a multiple entry non-o based upon marriage is. I suggest you contact them to confirm they will do it.

Today is Saturday, day on which offices are closed. You will find their email in other Bali threads.

Anyway, if your goal is exclusively to obtain a visa you should go to Savannakhet, Laos. Not Bali.

Well I am hoping to kill 2 birds with one stone, so to speak, I hv stuff to do all week and my current visa expires on the 29th, so thought may as well hv a nice holiday with the wife at the same time. Savankhet looked too boring to spend 4 days there.

I spoke with the consular officer and they can issue the visa I want, but it takes 3 working days. Ie. If you submit your application on Friday morning you will get the visa on Tuesday aftenoon.
