Hua Hin Barry
OK, the TV box, including software for 7500.- THB is too expensive my question where there is a software, incl. hundreds channels, many channels replay with 7 day free without further monthly? 7'500THB is too expensive? Compared to what? I would avoid the XBMC & KODI as Amazon has just banned them! https://torrentfreak.com/amazon-bans-kodi-app-over-piracy-concerns-150616/ Like most things in life nothing is for free. Hahah isnt this ironic that someone quotes a news article from torrentfreak which is a 100% illegal entity? First, there is NOTHING illegal with the software Kodi,Ill say it again NOTHING. However, EVERYTHING on Torrentfreak IS ILLEGAL. The difference is how files are accessed. With Kodi and addons you do not download and just view streams of media which is LEGAL. What is illegal is DOWNLOADING which is what TF and all the other torrent sites allow users to do. And trivia for you is that Google Playstore just added Kodi to its downloads. Download Kodi and enjoy.
Digitalbanana
I would avoid the XBMC & KODI as Amazon has just banned them! That's just daft! Why would you want to avoid one of the most configurable entertainment open source software suites because Amazon doesn't sell it? There's a lot of legit uses for Kodi as well. IMHO
Actually it is against copyright law to watch a broadcast that isn't provided by the rights holder. It's just extremely difficult for them to stop it at present. Not in Thailand. In Thailand the broadcaster might be breaking the law, but not the viewer. Edit: Here you have it from the resident TV lawyer too: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/829334-watching-pirated-iptv-streams/ Edited June 22, 2015 by IMHO

When you stream pirated content, you are transferring illegally obtained, coprrighted digital material into your house. This is illegal. Technically it is exactly the same as downloading. Just because it is extremely hard to detect does not make it legal. Edited June 22, 2015 by Chicog
2fishin2
In neither the US or Britain is it illegal to watch. It is illegal to download
Chicog
In neither the US or Britain is it illegal to watch. It is illegal to download Streamed content *is* downloading. However it is unlikely to be tested in court. As you say, they would get more mileage going after the person nicking the content and streaming it. You'll notice that your lawyer makes no mention of the copyrighted content. Only that "In Thailand you need a license". Such is the limit of their legal and technical knowledge. 2fishin2
You are in correct streaming is not downloading. That is why Kodi and most addons has no such feature for downloading.
Hua Hin Barry
Sorry if I started a heated debate here. I have done some more research and found the following - http://www.goggleboxtv.com/uk-authorities-raid-fully-loaded-android-tv-box-sellers/ https://www.bestvpn.com/blog/20958/uk-cracks-down-on-pirate-tv-boxes/ http://securitygladiators.com/2015/01/01/lizard-squad-member-arrested/ It looks like the British Police are taking a lot of interest in the Kodi / XBMC operators / Streamers etc. As far as I am concerned I think I will give Android / Kodi / XBMC etc a wide birth, if however you disagree with my opinion and wish to continue with and or tell others to use Android / Kodi / XBMC etc then I respect your opinion. My advice is "Avoid any service that uses XBMC or KODI as the days are numbered"
