Is it worth getting an M Cash card for use at Major Cineplex?

Sometimes I would like to buy tickets in advance to avoid queues and seats running out. M Cash seems like one way to do this. I believe Major cinemas only accept Thai bank credit cards so that's not an option for most.

I noticed that you have renew the card every year and then do a balance transfer to the new card. Has anyone been through all this and is it worth it or too much of a hassle to deal with every year?

If there is any other way to get tickets in advance, please post.

Sounds like a hassel and a scam if you need to do it every year. Their business plan is simply to get free money from people who forget about the cards and transfer the cash.

But my question is how does a prepaid card ensure you get a seat for a particular movie in the future. You are just paying for X number if tickets in advance right? Not for particular showings on particular dates.

Old topic this but I wouldn't say it's a waste of time.  If you buy the blue card at 150 baht you get 20 baht off per person each time you use your card to book a regular seat, 60 baht per person if you book a sofa and on Mondays with regular seats you can buy one / get one free.  You also get promotional offers and earn points which can be redeemed.

If you wish you can use it as a stored value card and top it up.  I don't.  I just have the M-Cash app on the phone, logged in with my membership and I pay for tickets using Rabbit LINE Pay.  So effectively you just buy the membership, I don't carry the card around.
